Slow your role.
Those who skip their breakfast tend to perform at a standard degree lower than their counterparts who start their day with anything in their bellies. Let the old adage be true: “eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince, and dinner like a pauper.” It sounds like crap, but there is good meaning behind it. As we know about age-old things and sayings… They are usually self-evident.
Getting up in the morning after fasting for 8 hours (break-fast) leaves your body in a nutritive deficient state. We try and jolt ourselves out of it with a morning coffee or other stimulants, or nothing at all as we rush out the door. Taking in anything at all, but especially a highly nutritious breakfast, will give our bodies the power, energy and motivation we need to get through the day. Following up with a prince’s lunch, we give our bodies the fuel for the rest of the day. Eating dinner like a pauper leaves your body relatively clean and free of food, stopping digestive processes that cause those sleepless nights, elimination in the middle of the night, and constant rolling over.
By the time breakfast rolls around, your body is ready to immediately consume those morning nutrients.
If you can simply make it a point to eat breakfast for 21 days, it will become a part of your routine. Continue for 21 more days, and it will become a habit. Another 21 days, and eating breakfast, lunch, and dinner correctly will inevitably become part of your character and will become a lifelong habit of ease and convenience.
Not only that, but you will definitely save money on groceries as breakfast and lunch foods are way easier to prepare than dinner items. Apparently, this is also an efficient way to lose weight!
So don’t skip the eggs or Wheaties!
